The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of St. Aloysius College was established on 20th October 2004, in compliance with the directive from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) as part of a post-accreditation quality sustenance initiative. The IQAC is guided by well-defined vision and mission statements, positioning itself as a crucial mechanism for Total Quality Management within the institution.
The IQAC’s primary role is to act as a liaison between various departments and stakeholders, ensuring the enhancement and maintenance of quality across all institutional processes. It is tasked with the periodic establishment of quality benchmarks, which are essential in the college’s ongoing quest for excellence. The cell is responsible for the continuous evaluation, refinement, redefinition, coordination, and auditing of the college’s internal quality assurance mechanisms.
In addition to these responsibilities, the IQAC is dedicated to fostering and implementing innovations in curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities. This commitment to innovation is aimed at improving the overall educational experience for students. The IQAC also ensures regular communication with the NAAC, facilitating the timely preparation and submission of essential reports such as the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR).
Currently, the IQAC is led by Dr.Libison K.B., who serves as the Coordinator. Under his leadership, the IQAC continues to strive for the highest standards of quality in all aspects of the college’s operations, thereby contributing significantly to the institution’s reputation and effectiveness.
